This collection of black and white film self-portraits represents common insecurities that many women have. I wanted to reveal  the harsh reality of what it means to be a woman and how we too often look towards the media for guidance. It is remarkably horrible how the media influences our opinions about our appearance and fools us with photoshop, touch-ups, airbrushing and dangerously thin models. I want to expose this fake, yet common perception of 'beauty' that the media portrays and I hope that these photographs can help others appreciate their unique beauty.
